Alexander Benedict is a managing partner with Banyan Global Insurance. He believes in a full-service approach that includes comprehensive strategies to ensure clients are adequately protected for any uncertainties they may encounter. Alexander specializes in insurance planning and financial strategies. Alexander is a graduate of Lynn University, holds a Series 7, 2-15, and 2-20, and is licensed to sell in Florida, New York, New Jersey, Georgia, Massachusetts, Maryland, and Virginia.
David Adams is a principal of Banyan Global Insurance, LLC and co-manager of Black River Partners. A Chicago native, Mr. Adams graduated cum laude from Indiana University in 1987 with a B.S. in Accounting. After graduation he returned to Chicago and began working for Deloitte Haskins & Sells. In 1988, Mr. Adams joined the Chicago Mercantile Exchange to become an apprentice financial trader going on to trade interest rate derivative futures as a market maker for over 15 years. In 2004, Mr. Adams moved to Florida to start a proprietary trading group. He retired from trading in 2010 and has been investing in real estate and private equity deals.
Laurence Benedict is a principal of Banyan Global Insurance, LLC and is CEO of The Opportunistic Trader with over thirty years of experience as an investment professional. A graduate of Syracuse University in 1984, he began his career as a market maker in equity derivatives products on the floor of the Chicago Board of Options Exchange. In 2000, Laurence took the opportunity to launch Banyan Equity Management, LLC. Banyan was a short term discretionary trading hedge fund firm which managed client assets in excess of $900 million and was a recipient of Barrons top 100 hedge funds on numerous occasions. He was featured in the popular trading book series, “Market Wizards, Hedge Fund How Winning Traders Win” (2012).
